When is Unity 2026?
The date for Unity 2026 is Saturday 25th July 2026 to Friday 31st July 2026.
Where is Unity 2026?
This year Unity is moving to a new venue at Statfold Country Park on the outskirts of Tamworth, Staffordshire.
What happens if the weather isn’t on our side for Unity 2026?
Unity 2026 will carry on come rain or shine. Some activities may need to be adapted or temporarily abandoned for health and safety reasons but otherwise the camp will continue as normal. We strongly recommend that all attendees bring appropriate clothing, kit and equipment for all weather eventualities.
What are the first aid provisions at Unity?
All units are expected to operate within normal Girlguiding guidelines in terms of qualified first aiders and suitable first aid kits. It is expected that where possible the ‘first response’ for first aid and TLC will be from the Unit Leaders.
On site there will be a fully staffed medical centre who will readily assist with any medical instances that the Unit Leader does not feel qualified for or confident to deal with.
Can I bring a Drone to Unity?
No Drones are to be flown at Unity 2026 unless they are registered with the Unity 2026 Media Team and have the correct authority to do so.
Will I be able to access my car during Unity?
All cars will be parked in the designated car park but may not be accessible during Unity. You will need to ensure that all security processes are followed when leaving the site.
If you are choosing to leave your car in the car park, you are leaving it at your own risk. Unity 2026 and Statfold Country Park will not accept responsibility for damage, accidents or loss.
What are the toilet and showers like at Unity?
The Unity Planning Team work hard to ensure that there is sufficient provision of toilets and showers for everyone and that these are kept in working order however some responsibility for this does come down to those who use them.
Accessible toilets and showers will be provided for those with limited mobility.
My DBS runs out during camp, what shall I do?
All DBSs need to be valid for the whole of the camp. You can apply for a new DBS up to 6 months before the expiry date.
Will there be photography and filming at the event?
Yes. We have a Media Team who will be taking photos and filming parts of the event. As part of the registration process, you will be asked to sign and give consent for photography, filming and audio at Unity 2026 which could be used in digital and print formats including social media, on our website and publications. These images will be retained by Unity and Girlguiding Staffordshire and used for promotional purposes of future events, Girlguiding Staffordshire and kept as an archive of the event.
The Unity 2026 team will do their best to ensure that photo consents are adhered to, however if you or your child do not give consent, it is your, your child’s and your child’s leaders responsibility to avoid being photographed/ filmed/recorded. Please note that Unity 2026 are not responsible for any other person that takes photos/videos/ recordings and posts to social media, this is outside of the control/consent of the event organisers.
