Programme
How are the activities allocated?
For previous Unitys, all participants have submitted their activity choices before the camp and our amazing activities team have created an individual activity programme for each participant. This way there is no queuing, no waiting around, and maximises opportunities. All participants will find out their activity allocations at camp.
What activities are available?
Unity always has a wide range of activities with something to interest everyone. The activities range from adventurous activities such as climbing, creative activities such as upcycling, water activities such as stand up paddle boarding and so much more.
How safe are the activities?
All activities are fully Risk Assessed and covered by Public Liability Insurance (Girlguiding or Commercial Providers).
All activities adhere to Girlguiding activities regulations.
All commercial activities will be run by qualified staff.
Are activities open to all?
At Unity, all participant submit their activity choices before the camp and our amazing activities team have created an individual activity programme for each participant. Therefore participants will only take part in the activities they requested and have been allocated.
If participants have additional needs, our activities team and inclusion & well-being team will work with the leaders of those participants to ensure they can participate and activities can be adapted to suit.
What activity clothing is required?
All specialised equipment and clothing will be provided where required. Participants should ensure they have suitable clothing for the activities they have been allocated (secure shoes, shorts or trousers).
Some activities, such as the water activities, will require clothes that can get wet, as well as a change of clothes. Activity clothing information will be available in each subcamp
